You’ll develop data pipelines, manage the data lake, and transform data for high-performance Power BI reporting.   • Work with the Head of Data & Insight, and other members of the team to ensure clarity on the backlog for data requirements into the data lake
  • Have a full understanding of the various business units and business objectives, and how these are reflected in the Business Hierarches, Business Metrics and reporting architecture.
  • Strong working knowledge of business processes and all relevant current Systems / Data sources, to understand, shape and validate the feed of data into the data lake
  • Support in maintaining both a robust production and a parallel development environment
  • Full documentation of all processes to feed both the data lake and power BI reporting
  • Identification of the correct data sources and Build/ Schedule / Manage the data pipelines from operational systems into the Azure environment
  • Design, build and schedule key data re-engineering processes, E.G. Csat / Scoring models
  • Working with the Power BI analyst to connect data sources, import data into the data lake, and transform/aggregate data for optimal power BI reporting performance
  • Develop and Manage the appropriate data integrations and scheduling updates to support reporting requirements
  • Support in building and managing a proactive reporting system to monitor the end to end data processes and proactively alert the business to any failures Stay abreast of the latest developments in Data Strategy and Power BI, proposing the opportunities for Movera to gain value from application developments and innovation.

Person Specification:

  • Strong SQL knowledge
  • Proven experience working with Azure
  • Git/DevOps Repos experience
  • Demonstration of problem solving ability
  • Synapse Analytics or similar experience – desirable
  • Visual Files experience – desirable
  • PySpark/Python experience – desirable
  • Powershell experience – desirable

Expected salary: £30000 – 35000 per year
