ECL are seeking a Day Centre Manager to join our Roundwood Day Centre as part of our Learning Disabilities Service.
Leading a service providing person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, you will be passionate about promoting independence and customer choice, supporting our diverse customer base in living fulfilling and independent lives whilst being active in the community and achieving their personal goals. You will empower and work closely with our dedicated team of Support Workers and Team Leaders to deliver support programmes tailored to individual needs.
Our Day Centre Manager roles support a healthy work-life balance. You will have opportunities to develop your career through collaboration with other day centres, our Inclusive Employment and Innovation services, and supporting projects with Essex County Council’s Adult Social Care team.
About You
To be considered as Day Centre Manager, you need:
- A full valid driving licence and vehicle to travel
- To be educated to QCF Diploma or NVQ Level 5 in relevant area or willingness to work towards this
- Evidence of continued professional development within the care sector
- Demonstrable skills in supervising and monitoring employee performance
- The ability to organise and set priorities, meeting multiple deadlines and evaluate assignments across service areas
- To be capable of providing training, induction, and guidance
- Commercial and financial awareness to proactively manage the performance of the service
- The ability to cope under pressure, displaying calm and patience
- To be supportive of change, always showing flexibility and reliability
- The ability to empathise and be understanding
- Leadership experience in the care industry, as a Care Manager, Service Manager or similar
