These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.Control Systems Engineering Department Manager is a role within the KBR organization that supervises and manages Instrumentation, Controls, and telecommunications engineering. The role requires ingenuity in review of execution strategies for various technologies and clients. A diverse background in technical, commercial, and contractual experiences is encouraged for the role as the department is integral to the successful execution of projects. The role is supported through established department subject matter experts. The role requires the ability to innovate procedures and policies to stay competitive along with reimagining KBR’s execution and delivery on a project.Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Review and approval of nonstandard execution methods.Innovative ways to deliver to client’s needs and expectations.Develop and maintain an overall department budget.Provide guidance and technical oversight on projects while driving KBR’s quality initiatives and standards.Establish succession planning and mentorship throughout the group.Responsible for all personnel decisions across the control systems engineering team.Aid in sales and proposal pursuits including development of work hour estimates required to properly execute a given scope of workJob QualificationsSkills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of related experience, with an average experience of 15+ years.Professional Engineer License (preferred)General knowledge/expertise in advanced controls optimization, functional safety, control systems architecture, telecommunications systems, and process control instrumentation design and specification.Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including responsibility for budgetExperience with employee performance appraisals and coaching requiredBENEFITSKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include a 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
