Job description: We are hiring for a Deputy Lead of PMO UK/EMEA based in Fleet, Hampshire or Jersey, Channel Islands (Hybrid working 1-2 days a week in office). **Travel to offices and client sites globally may be required.
This role will provide leadership including line management, across the PMO team, based in UK/EMEA and act as a key interface for the Head of the PMO based in APAC. The role is expected to also to lead TrustQuay Viewpoint implementation programme and project services and activities as required, from project definition, planning and ongoing monitoring on medium to large sized/complexity of projects. Focus on the UK/EMEA portfolio delivery to support organisational KPI targets. Champion a global approach working with the Head of the PMO to evolve global PMO standards, delivery governance and frameworks to support excellent programme and project delivery for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide best practice guidance to NavOne Trust, Co-Sec and Fund customers that initially delivers a rapid and safe implementation. In the medium/longer term of the project, enable the customer to derive maximum value from their investment into NavOne.
- Gain a full understanding of each project and its associated contractual delivery terms.
- Follow the TrustQuay project framework and use of supporting artefacts in the execution of project engagement.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement the TrustQuay project framework and artefacts.
- Produce detailed Project Initiation/Scoping Document in conjunction with internal TrustQuay Consultant and the client.
- Produce formal project timeline & resource-based implementation plan.
- Prepare revenue forecast for the project based on high-level allocation of required resources over the planned duration.
- Conduct project meetings with client executive representatives (Steering Group).
- Assessment and reporting of main project risks and recommendations on mitigation of risks and issues.
- Regular auditing and reporting all key projects – typically this will include progress against target, risk evaluation (revenue, client issues, internal issues, etc).
- Managing the delivery of TrustQuay services and related staff within a project and ensuring engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures take place for all project engagements.
- Active management of project testing issues raised via project template tools.
- Effectively communicating relevant project status information and providing best advice/expertise to project teams to ensure success.
- Manage project budget, approve timesheet entries weekly and approve monthly invoicing for the customer.
- Produce Monthly project status reports in support of the services invoice, along with a forecast of upcoming project activities/milestones and forecast spend in the coming month..
- Execute, document and share lessons learned as part of each project close down.
Key Skills and Experience
- Line management experience and managing teams through company change, growth and scaling
- Business or functional experience in any comparable client operations, for example Trust Administration and Client Services, Fund Administration, Accounting, Private Banking, Portfolio management, Trade capture / settlement / operations.
- Recent Financial Services sector exposure and prior experience of NavOne, or 5Series would be an advantage.
- An exceptional track record of successfully managing and delivering large complex enterprise wide IT projects within the financial services sector.
- Significant experience of delivery and management as a vendor or similar environment.
- Experience of operating within both in a Time & Material and Fixed Price contract structure.
- Experience of operating to an agile style of project delivery.
- Strong influencing, leadership, and governance skills.
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral) at all levels.
- Desirable at least 8 years of relevant experience & skills to match.
