Excellent role on offer for a Design Manager looking to join an independent construction company where you will work on interesting medium to large scale commercial steel frame construction projects within a close knit team.

This company work within many sectors of construction including Industrial, Retail, Healthcare and fit out. Projects range anywhere from £5million to £30million. They pride themselves on having excellent relationships with their prestigious clients, and due to this they have a growing order book for 2024 onwards. They are now looking for a Design Manager to join the team.

In this role you will be primarily working from the office in Bromsgrove, completing site visits where needed. You will be managing the design process, coordinating the design and build contracts. You will be supporting, understanding and liaising with clients in the development of the design. Working alongside the other Design Coordinators and Design Team, you will coordinate and resolve any design, technical or potential issue. You will lead and manage multiple projects at a time, overseeing and contributing to the design process to ensure very aspect of the project runs smoothly.

This role would therefore suit someone who has previous experience working in a Design Coordination or Management role, from a construction or architectural background. You will have the ability to communicate with a range of people, from internal teams, to subcontractors, to clients. You will have previous experience using AutoCAD and will have knowledge of current building regulations.
