Job description: Design Support Engineer required. Our client is a leading manufacturer of fluid control products based in the Bristol area. They are seeking a Design Support Engineer to join the team and support the technical design and support services.

Design Support Engineer Position Overview

  • Creation and storage of assembly & manufacturing drawings and associated documentation packs
  • Reviewing previous assembly drawings to improve efficiencies with quotations and manufacturing
  • Liaising with customers to discuss project requirements and any manufacturing concerns
  • Creating and maintaining the CAD library to ensure all details for manufacturing are accurate
  • Developing test procedures with the technical team
  • Completing quotation requests in line with the service level agreement
  • Checking Bill of Materials to ensure they are accurate
  • Ensuring any non-conformance reports are logged
  • Inspecting third-party components to ensure they match the design

Design Support Engineer Position Requirements

  • Experience with Solidworks 3D modelling software
  • HND qualified or above in a manufacturing, design or engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of Solidworks PDM software is desirable
  • Ability to read P&ID drawings
  • Based in a commutable distance of Bristol
  • Full UK Driving License for occasional customer visits

Design Support Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary £24,000 – £32,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus scheme
  • Death in service benefit
  • Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent position.
  • 25 days Holiday allowance + plus bank holidays
