Job description: The digital and social media apprentice will be responsible for supporting the digital marketing team in creating and implementing social media strategies across various platforms. This will include creating and curating engaging content, managing social media accounts, and analyzing performance metrics. The apprentice will also have the opportunity to learn about other digital marketing activities such as email marketing, search engine optimization, and digital advertising.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media posts.
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media platforms.
- Research and propose new content ideas and trends.
- Assist in the creation of email marketing campaigns.
- Conduct keyword research and assist in optimizing website content for search engines.
- Assist in the creation and management of digital advertising campaigns.
- Analyse and report on the performance of social media and digital marketing activities.
Key Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity and a keen eye for design.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their best practices.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience with social media, either personally or professionally, is preferred but not required.
- A strong interest in digital marketing and social media.
Training and Development
The apprentice will receive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced digital marketers. They will also have the opportunity to complete a recognised digital marketing qualification as part of the apprenticeship.
