The client
This creative sports brand is on the lookout for a dynamic and entrepreneurial E-Commerce Digital Designer to join their team. They are seeking a talented individual with a passion for digital design and a keen interest in sports, digital innovation, and pixel perfection.
The role
Role Overview: As an E-Commerce Digital Designer, you will collaborate with the creative, E-commerce, and marketing teams to conceptualize, create, and produce engaging marketing and communication projects for their own and partner E-commerce channels. They are looking for someone who can seamlessly blend visuals and storytelling to enhance the brand’s digital experience, particularly for their websites.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute layouts and marketing assets for various channels, including newsletters, digital marketing, social media, site banners, and mobile platforms.
- Develop market-leading, mobile-first designs for email communications aligned with our brand identity, continually innovating email templates and staying abreast of future trends.
- Work across multiple digital channels to deliver innovative and high-quality designs for all our platforms.
- Enhance usability, functionality, and aesthetics across all digital media, demonstrating a deep understanding of web and email newsletter development.
- Maintain awareness of customer behavior to optimize user experience and drive sales.
- Stay passionate about staying up-to-date with design and technology changes, and sharing knowledge within the team.
- Collaborate with the e-commerce team on design requests for the website and newsletters, including resizing, cropping, editing, and exporting imagery for banners and wireframes.
The candidate
Skills/Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as an E-Commerce Digital Designer.
- Proficient in the latest editing software, graphic design software, and hardware.
- Naturally creative and imaginative with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong portfolio showcasing recent cross-platform E-commerce work, demonstrating UI and responsive design best practices.
- Application of user-centered design principles across all work.
- Understanding of web accessibility and its impact on design.
- Ability to incorporate a high degree of interactivity into creative concepts to enhance user experience.
- Experience working closely with developers to transform designs into well-crafted digital experiences.
- Proficient in creating mobile and/or responsive designs.
- Sound understanding of computer technology, technical processes, and responsive front-end design best practices.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across various briefs.
- Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of diverse target audiences and flexibility to adapt design ideas to meet technical criteria.
- Keen interest in the future of E-commerce, the Metaverse, and interactive media, staying updated on commercial trends and innovations (e.g., special effects, photography, film, sound, animation, etc.).
