Job description: Job Description:As a QA Digital Engineering Anchor, you will serve as the hands-on technical lead. Providing technical leadership and guidance across the team by partnering with all agile teams to align project needs such as technical problem resolution, technical training and resolving capacity issues. You will also work with the QA team leads/team advocates to ensure technical processes and standards are universally understood and enforced, while promoting engagement across teams. Promote engagement and communication across teams. Use best practices and broad knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products and/or services. Works independently; receives minimal guidance.Additionally, you will assist with providing technical operational support input related to application analysis, code review, design, automation, and programming functions. Ensuring department objectives are met in operational stability, efficiency, automation enhancement, and metric development.Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to drive technical results and goals across the team to promote quality testing.
  • Serves as an advisor providing advice and counsel with engineering technical requirements to enhance the overall QA practice.
  • Uses best practices and broad knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve QA testing approaches.
  • Works with Digital leadership, as well as QA Team leads and advocate to ensure processes and standards are universally understood and enforced while promoting engagement across teams.
  • Proactively accumulates and maintains knowledge of QA current and emerging/evolving technologies, concepts, and trends.
  • Apply specific professional-level functional knowledge to solve problems requiring the identification of root cause and analysis of moderately complex issues.
  • Assists to monitor manual/automated test cases and document results.
  • Assists with designing, building, and maintaining effective test automation solutions which meet requirements and specifications (smoke, functional, regression, performance, integration, etc.).
  • Assists with developing an end-to-end automation strategy in line with the strategic vision and product roadmap.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with team members, management, and key stakeholders.
  • Builds relationships with relevant teams across the wider organization to both support and shape future automation strategy and direction.
  • Develops and maintains solution documentation.
  • Ensures that approved changes are integrated into the existing test scripts and additional scripts are added as necessary, and updates are documented properly.
  • Has the ability to coach and mentor colleagues with less experience.
  • Identifies opportunities to effectively mitigate risk and improves performance and functionality.
  • Improves the test frameworks, tools and technologies used to maintain a high-quality test.
  • Monitors adherence to quality processes, reports issues, and makes recommendations to improve on technical gaps within the team.
  • Partners with product ownership team, scrum master and leadership about team needs such as, capacity issues, training needs, while maintaining technical responsibilities.
  • Prepares functional matrix for test areas assigned and performs a walkthrough with the appropriate project team members to ensure accurate/complete coverage of designated area.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application/solution problems.
  • Provide overall leadership to large strategic projects or programs.
  • Serve as strategic advisor to senior management.
  • Conduct research and analysis; make recommendations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.).
  • Consistent communication of information to team.
  • Use holistic knowledge of all products in the information technology ecosystem to plan how new systems will be built and integrated.
  • Serve as an advisor providing advice and counsel on assignments concerned with specialized or unique engineering requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to effectively mitigate risk and improve performance and functionality.
  • Provide forward thinking technical expertise in current and emerging technologies, trends and practices.
  • Assist with reviewing candidates for technical roles.
  • Proactively accumulate and maintain knowledge of current and merging/evolving technologies, concepts, and trends.
  • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
  • Continual learning; keep up to date with trends in tech market.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience Automation Testing.
  • Advanced experience in Software Development Life Cycle Paradigms (Agile).
  • Advanced experience in testing using tools and frameworks.
  • Advanced experience leading test automation efforts.
  • Advanced experience in Functional, Regression, Smoke, Webservices, Database, Integration and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Advanced in code revision management, defect tracking & reporting.
  • Advanced skill applying innovative approaches to solve technical design issues.
  • Advanced skill in programming knowledge and a deep technical skill.
  • Advanced skill in reviewing various project related documents.
  • Advanced skill in systems analysis, workflow, or procedural analysis.
  • Advanced skill in testing using the Agile methodologies and frameworks.
  • Advanced skill influencing and guiding strategic thinking.
  • Advanced skill troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
  • Advanced skill with leading the development of test scripts to automate web application and desktop applications.
  • Advanced skills in writing, review and execution of test cases, test plan, test strategy, test report and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and role of QA .
  • Advanced with cloud computing and QA’s role in CICD.
  • Effective Decision Making (Competency).
  • Experience assisting with building and leading teams of both development and testing.
  • Possess strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities, excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • 5+ years’ experience Automation Testing, Software Development Life Cycle Paradigms (Agile), testing using tools and frameworks, and leading test automation efforts.
  • Advanced knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products, and services.
  • Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of credit union operations/processes and procedures.
  • Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; continuing acquisition of higher level knowledge and skills.
