The role

Are you a Digital Marketing expert with a proven track record of growing a business and brand? Wahaca has a job for you. We’re offering a 12-month contract starting ASAP (potential to extend depending on performance and business need).

We’re recruiting a digital expert to transform Wahaca’s presence online. You’re a creative, entrepreneurial, self-starter, keen to grow the business through the power of digital marketing. You’ve got experience growing brands & sales through the power of digital. Taking a leading role in marketing with one direct report (Digital & Social Exec). You’ll lead digital campaigns that cut through and get people to eat at Wahaca, feeding our fan base, literally and metaphorically. You’ll transform our CRM into a highly effective tool for business growth and channel our community of ambassadors into a tangible brand asset. This role is hands on: you’ll craft campaigns from the ideation phase, creating content, testing, learning, optimising and scaling.

Sitting at the core of our marketing team, you’ll work alongside the broader marketing team, the food and operations teams, senior leaders, restaurant teams and relevant agencies or freelancers. You’ll be able to feed into the customer experience in restaurants, menu design, PR and local marketing. You’ll have a balance of digital skill, creativity, and a passion for Mexican food as well as have an eye on what’s happening in the wider world of food and restaurants, accelerating menu and marketing innovation at Wahaca.

Location

Taco Towers (Oxford Circus) and in-restaurants with occasional working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supercharge Wahaca’s digital channels, including website, CRM platform, social media, third party platforms and more
• Elevate content quality and performance
• Line manage the Digital & Social Marketing Executive
• Lead key strategic marketing projects
• Plan and deliver digital marketing campaigns, working with in-house teams and external agencies
• Write creative briefs that hit our business objectives
• Test, learn, iterate, and scale your ideas to have the maximum business impact

Experience

Required

• Digital marketing expertise (planning, executing, analysing performance, optimising across website, social, CRM, etc)
• Brand management & leading marketing campaigns
• Project management and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Writing inspirational creative briefs
• Management of agencies and external suppliers (website, social, CRM)
• Comfortable using various digital platforms (previous experience of meta, TikTok, web CMS, web tracking, CRM systems)

Nice to have

• A bonus if you have experience using WordPress, Airship, Design My Night
• Previous experience working in the hospitality sector
