Salary: Depending on experienceRole OverviewA dual role to support both the workshop delivery and 1-1 apprenticeship mentoring support to learners on our Digital Product Manager (DPM) and Digital Business Analyst (DBA) programmes. The role is responsible for workshop delivery on Cambridge Spark’s best-in-class educational programmes, primarily this would be on our funded programmes with some additional delivery on Corporate Training where required. In addition to the training, the Mentor responsible for providing technical support and feedback to the Apprentices. The Mentor will ensure that teaching, learning and assessment is of a gold standard and that retention, achievement and grading outcomes are at or above national standards and learner progression is robustly monitored.Key responsibilities
- Deliver to our existing DPM and DBA learners.
- Design Innovative and engaging teaching and learning strategies.
- Support learners with developing technical skills.
- Provide Ad-hoc technical support and check-in sessions.
- Provide regular feedback and updates on learner progress to the learners dedicated Coach.
- Attend the regular team meetings and provide updates as requested on learner progress.
- Support with any ad-hoc duties or requests that may be reasonably required to successfully carry out the role or to support the business.
- Support the Quality Assurance process, attending standardisations and commitment to own CPD.
- Extend the English and mathematical skills of learners through ongoing delivery of technical teaching.
- Support with eligibility professional discussions.
- Formative and summative assessments against the Knowledge, skills and behaviours of the Apprenticeship Standard for both the Digital Product Manager and Business Analyst.
- Support learners with developing and producing high quality portfolio of projects.
- Support learners to prepare for the Apprenticeship End Point Assessment.
- Provide Ad-hoc technical support and check-in sessions.
- Attend weekly and ad-hoc 1:1 and group mentoring sessions.
- Prepare the learner to enter into Gateway.
- Provide regular feedback and updates on learner progress to the Learner Success Team.
- Support the Faculty team with content development and learner support tickets.
- Provide general advice, guidance to all learners.
- Act as a support point of contact for learners with portfolio queries.
- To safeguard children and vulnerable adults from harm and to report concerns in accordance with the Cambridge Spark process.
- To develop good relationships and encourage equality of opportunity between different groups and eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
- Attend the regular team meetings and provide updates as requested on learner progress.
- To support with any ad-hoc duties or requests that may be reasonably required to successfully carry out the role or to support the business.
Candidate Specification
Essential Skills
- Teaching or training experience
- Relevant Technical Qualifications
- Relevant industry experience
- Experience of prioritising workload, working to strict deadlines and following governing procedures and controls
- A minimum level 4 qualification within the subject area
- Equivalent Product Management Certifications such as: Certified Product Manager (CPM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Committed to student success and supporting students to fulfil their potential
- Commitment to continuously developing teaching and technical knowledge and skills
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- User-Centred Design: Experience in user-centred design principles and methodologies is essential.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Product Management Experience: Background in product management, ideally with a track record of successfully delivering digital products or services.
- Business Analysis and process modelling.
- Digital leadership and Change Management experience.
Desirable Skills
- Able to differentiate and create enjoyable learning opportunities.
- Experience of prioritising workload, working to strict deadlines and following governing procedures and controls.
- Experience in a role of a similar nature within formal teaching or Apprenticeships.
