Job Description

The Director, Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting will direct the day-to-day accounting activities of the worldwide accounting team, oversee the monthly accounting consolidation of Tradeshift Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiaries, provide technical accounting analysis for complex transactions and lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting process by supporting corporate, statutory and tax-related audits. The Director, Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting will work under the supervision and guidance of the Vice President, Global Controller.

This leadership role is an integral part of the Accounting organization and will be responsible for performing a range of accounting responsibilities timely, accurately and in conformance with U.S. GAAP. Identifying, researching and resolving accounting issues as well as identifying and implementing workflow improvements are key requirements for this role. The ability to understand and maintain accounting processes and controls, be detail oriented, be organized with the ability to multitask, possess effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate across teams are integral to successfully achieving these responsibilities.

Job Description:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing and recording of cash transactions, prepaid assets, fixed assets, accounts payable and accrued expenses, expense reimbursements, payroll expenses and related liabilities, bonuses, commissions, debt and equity transactions and intercompany transactions for all subsidiaries in a variety of currencies
  • Review and approve month-end balances and account reconciliations
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end close and consolidation activities using Netsuite to support subsidiary-level and consolidated financial accounting and reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules and footnote disclosures
  • Support the annual corporate audit, selected statutory audits and tax-related audits by preparing various audit schedules and responding to requests and inquiries from auditors
  • Partner with all units and levels of the Accounting and Finance Organization such as Payroll, Revenue Accounting, International Accounting, Payroll, Global Tax and FP&A to deliver timely and accurate financial information
  • Seek and implement ways to improve the efficiency and accuracy of accounting processes
  • Recruit, train, manage and develop members of the Corporate Accounting Team
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks and duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA certification
  • Proven experience in public accounting and industry
  • Experience leading a global team
  • Possess strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP in all areas of direct accounting responsibility and ability to apply it to applicable business transactions
  • 10+ years’ experience of general accounting, monthly accounting close processes involving consolidation of parent and multiple subsidiaries, and translation of foreign currency transactions/balances of subsidiaries to U.S. dollar reporting basis
  • Experience analyzing a range of complex transactions, determining the appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP, effectively communicating issues to management and staff and documenting the accounting analysis and conclusions
  • Have Netsuite ERP system operation experience, including integrations with other systems and the ability to create customized Netsuite reports
  • Are detail oriented, have strong organization skills, have the ability to identify and solve problems and have good analytical skills
  • Are able to organize your responsibilities and work schedule to complete your responsibilities timely and accurately
  • Are self-directed, able to multitask, prioritize responsibilities and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Are able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels within the organization
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
