Your next role
This role has three key areas of focus: Market Focus, Issues Led, and Culture & Motivation. The role involves leading the development of a Cyber Security consulting team including defining the vision, objectives, and plan, and overseeing the implementation of this strategy. You will also develop and maintain new Cyber Resilience propositions and methodologies to meet market demand and clients’ issues.
Whilst your primary focus will be on the built environment and smart city sectors, you will be expected to operate across Sectors and Markets. You’ll also originate and lead on Cyber Security sales opportunities, develop relationships internally and externally, build a pipeline of opportunities and/or sell engagements to clients, lead the delivery of Cyber Security engagements, and define the people requirements (e.g., skills, experience, etc.) to strengthen our team of resources and lead the recruitment of these resources.
Reporting to the Head of Security Consulting, you will take accountability for the delivery of Cyber Security engagements and leadership of multiple engagements on a day-to-day basis with the assistance of Associates and Senior Consultants in the team. You will also responsible for expanding our Cyber Security services across all coverage groups with a strong focus on Built Environment and Urban Development, providing leadership and collaborating across these segments. The role requires the ability to build and manage networks and client relationships typically at CIO, CRO, COO, CISO or Head of Technology level across a range of sectors and markets and will require travel to UK and regional offices in the UK and internationally, supporting client delivery where required.
Key Duties:
- Develop and lead a Cyber Security consulting team, defining the vision, objectives, and plan, and overseeing its implementation.
- Provide independent advice and advanced technical capabilities to help clients manage cyber and technology risks.
- Develop and maintain new Cyber Resilience propositions and methodologies to meet market demand and address client issues.
- Build strong relationships with other departments within the business, such as Digital Advisory and Information Management and Security, to create integrated offerings.
- Collaborate with partners to drive collaboration and sales opportunities.
- Manage and develop the technical skills of the team, ensuring a high level of expertise and capability.
- Originate and lead Cyber Security sales opportunities, develop relationships internally and externally, and build a pipeline of opportunities.
- Lead the delivery of Cyber Security engagements, ensuring client satisfaction and successful outcomes.
- Define the requirements for team growth and lead the recruitment process to strengthen our resources.
- Expand Cyber Security services across all coverage groups, with a focus on the built environment and smart city sector.
- Build and manage networks and client relationships at a senior level, collaborating with CIOs, CROs, COOs, CISOs, and Heads of Technology.
- Travel to UK and regional offices, as well as internationally, to support client delivery when required.
Your skills & experience:
- Holds current Developed Vetting clearance.
- Proven track record of working at senior strategic and policy levels within UK government.
- Extensive experience in cyber security and resilience at large global organisations cross sector.
- Proven track record of working at a senior level as a Cyber Security practitioner and consultant.
- Commercially aware with industry relationships; able to demonstrate revenue generation capabilities ideally of £1+ million per year.
- Proven experience in successfully building, leading, managing, and delivering cyber security and technology advisory and assurance services to large/multinational clients.
- Proven experience in leading, developing and managing large and diverse teams.
- Proven track record in mentoring and promoting inclusive and diverse working environments.
- Multiple sector industry exposure and depth of technical security knowledge in cyber security, disaster recovery, and cyber forensics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Sound understanding of risk management in a professional services environment.
- Industry qualifications such as CISM, CISSP.
- Degree-level qualification.
Additional desirables:
- Knowledge and experience of highly regulated environments within CNI, particularly in technology, cyber security, and privacy
- Extensive experience in Cyber Security consulting, including cyber exercising in crisis management frameworks.
