We are seeking a strategic Director of Finance Planning and Analysis with a strong analytical mindset to lead the FP&A function and serve on our Operations Leadership Team (OLT). This role is based either in Ashford, UK or the Cairns, Australia Office. Hybrid working patterns are supportable with weekly presence in the office. Other locations would be considered if the ideal candidate is identified.

Responsibilities

You will provide guidance on financial planning and analysis, directing internal audit, ensuring proper development of budgets and forecasts, overseeing financial modelling, and leading strategic financial planning for operations.

This role directly reports to the CFO, actively engages in the financial leadership of the organisation, and represents the finance function as a member of the Operations Leadership Team (OLT).

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • A pro-active, service orientated, senior finance professional with a degree and post-graduate accounting qualification, and familiar with Charity and Company law.
  • Aptitude in numerical and verbal reasoning, an aptitude for communication at all levels, the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
  • At least three years post-qualified experience including partnering with operational managers including the provision of critical financial insight to support strategic

decision making, oversight of projects and financial modelling. * Able to work in a culturally appropriate way, across a diverse organisation, providing support to senior managers based worldwide.

  • Strategic and independent thinking, initiative, self management and results orientation.

Desirable:

  • Cross cultural working or mission experience
