We will help you unlock the best version of yourself, achieve growth in your career whilst making a real difference to people and communities.About the roleAs Director of IT Systems at Civica, you will be a technology leader responsible for ensuring that over 6000 colleagues around the world are enabled and empowered to do their best work.You will own all aspects of the people, processes and tools that support our colleagues; ensuring that Civica’s internal hardware and software deliver a great user experience, and that helpdesk teams are in place to provide assistance when needed. You are a technologist, up to date on the latest practices and developments in your domain, with an eye on how the newest technology can help us to be better, faster and more efficient.You’ll have a relentless focus on your internal customers, always striving for the next improvement that enables happiness, efficiency and technology as a force multiplier. To achieve this, you’ll be a pragmatic, kind and effective leader, able to build and nurture a team that can deliver on your vision. You’ll bring clarity where there is ambiguity, and calm where there is chaos.What you will be doingAs a technologist, delivering implementation of modern technologies that act as a force multiplier for Civica colleaguesAs a leader, building and managing a balanced and effective IT organisationAs a strategist, managing large people, hardware and software budgets which trade off effectiveness vs costMaking data-driven decisions, and presenting data to get buy-in for your initiatives from VP and C-Level executivesEnsuring that Civica’s global helpdesk has the people, processes and technology to support 6000 Civica employeesBuilding strong relationships with leaders in areas such as infrastructure, development, security, and compliance to ensure the best outcomesRequirements:We’d like you to have experience withManaging large (100+ FTE) IT support-focused teams in a large global organisation, across multiple territories and time zones (UK, India, APAC, and AMER)Delivering high-impact technical programmes in complex technical landscapesWorking in a product-led, user-focused manner; the term “user experience” is an everyday part of your vocabularyModern EUC practices such as BYOD, Virtual WorkEnvironments, Automated Provisioning, or Zero Touch DeploymentsManaging stakeholders up, down, and across seniority levelsModernising legacy technology stacksCoaching and mentoring senior managersManaging large and complex budgets (
