About the role

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Director of People to join the University of Brighton Academies Trust to support us in inspiring our children and staff to flourish and achieve their best.

You will be part of our Executive Team and report directly to the Deputy Chief Executive: Chief Operating Officer. You will complete the design and implementation of our People Strategic Delivery Plan in support of our shared mission, vision and values and new Trust Strategy 2023-2028. You will work strategically and have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to influence critical decision making and communicate effectively across our stakeholders.

Your significant experience in business process development and ability to harness new and changing technology will play a key role in a major change project focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of all of our administrative and operational processes across the Trust and our academies.

Your talent management expertise will be crucial to ensuring our 14 academies and 7 departments remained fully staffed with high quality and committed colleagues, as well as supporting the establishment of a brand new innovative all-through primary and secondary school for children and young people in West Sussex, The Bedelands Academy.

We are a growing organisation with over 1200 staff, nearly 8000 children and an annual £50million+ budget, and you will lead our People department across all core HR disciplines.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
