An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our enthusiastic team in a varied role as a Driver & Hospitality Assistant at Bath Spa University.
About the Role
As a Driver & Hospitality Assistant you will be responsible to the Head Chef and will help support the cleaning and sanitising of the kitchen, maintaining all the food storage areas, washing up and operating the dishwasher as instructed. In addition, you will be responsible for waste removal and recycling following the Universities Sustainability Policy and sweeping and mopping floors. Supporting the Head Chef in basic food preparation, you will also provide assistance to other kitchen staff, as required. The role supports our hospitality events, Nursery deliveries and commercial business and therefore you will be involved in setting up & delivering a range of catering to a high standard across all campuses. Within this varied role, you will drive our university vehicle, ensuring timely delivery of stock to various sites including Hospitality Catering and our Nursery. You’ll also be accountable for receiving, checking, and safely storing food deliveries, reporting any maintenance issues, and aiding in setting up and clearing down hot food counters. Administrative tasks such as recording food temperatures, managing stock, and assisting in month-end stocktakes will be part of your role.
About You
You will have exceptional customer service skills and a full driving license, as well as a solid understanding of health and safety standards. Flexibility is key in this varied role, which involves various tasks, from ensuring high end customer service to driving our university vehicle. You will always have a calm approach to any task or situation, work well under pressure and always be presentable in appearance whilst ensuring excellent time keeping skills.
