Job description: We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on E-commerce Business Analyst with innovative ideas and a commercial mindset to join DK’s global Online Marketplace team.

The Online Marketplace team is at the forefront of driving online sales across the globe, a strategic growth pillar for DK. This is a centralised team responsible for SEO and paid advertising across the DK catalogues that collaborate with regional dedicated Account Management, Inventory and Marketing teams across core territories, including the US, UK and Germany.

You will actively business partner with the SEO and Performance Marketing team members within the Online Marketplace team to help analyse and interpret large datasets to uncover valuable learnings and trends related to customer behaviour. Bringing together key information to help uncover search insights, title and portfolio sales comparisons, category and competitor performance and the impact of our paid and organic campaigns.

You will also collaborate with members of the the Data & Analytics team to develop new and improved reporting tools to support your technical skills development and to provide relevant data infrastructure for the Online Marketplace team. Further, you will collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to understand and translate business needs through data analysis deep-dives and will identify opportunities for further growth online with the ability to confidently present findings and strategic opportunities to different audiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • A good understanding of Amazon’s reporting structures and the key metrics across organic, paid and inventory management
  • Being the go-to person for technical, data and reporting questions for DK’s e-commerce space
  • Ability to build digestible reports and present findings to a variety of different audiences, from senior leads to key stakeholders
  • Managing and communicating reporting for weekly and monthly performance against targets and core KPIs
  • Delivering analysis of our performance across multiple markets for key events and A/B tests and pairing our performance with a wider market context
  • Utilising data to create business cases to allow the company to keep evolving best practices and improving our e-commerce business.
  • Identify customer & e-commerce trends for business growth and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to deliver action plans according to analytics insights.
  • Writing SQL and Python queries to access data directly from our databases
  • Briefing in and being a key contact in larger data infrastructure development work to bring better efficiencies into the Online Marketplace team processes

This position will best suit someone with a highly analytical and strategic mindset who wants to shape and drive how we do things, questioning existing ways of working and actively seeking out opportunities to do things better. With experience in SQL and a clear communication style, both written and verbal, our ideal candidate will already have gained initial experience in relevant Business Analysis and /or e-commerce analytics and has experience working in cross functional and international teams.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and to tight deadlines
  • Business results-oriented
  • Proven experience with SQL / Python
  • Dashboard experience and data visualisation skills, for example, using Power BI
  • Proven ability to take data and turn it into actionable insights
  • English and German fluency
  • An eye for detail and accuracy

This role is based in London. Visa sponsorship will be considered for international German-speaking candidates.
