Are you passionate about education and sports, with a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? GSL Education Lincolnshire is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Education-Based Sports Coach for one of our client SEN schools in Caythorpe.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Design and implement sports programs tailored to the unique needs and abilities of students with SEN, fostering physical activity, teamwork, and personal development.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students, regardless of their abilities or challenges.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to integrate sports and physical activities into the overall educational curriculum, promoting a holistic approach to student development.
  • Provide individualized coaching and support to students, adapting strategies to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students, adjusting coaching methods as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Implement effective behavior management techniques, promoting positive behavior and fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Actively engage with the school community, parents, and external stakeholders to enhance the overall educational experience for students.

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognized qualification in sports coaching, education, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to adapt coaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Hold a Child-Only Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL.
