We are developing a new coaching framework to revolutionise the training and learning offer for our coaches and are looking to recruit an Education Development Officer to help accelerate this seismic work, as well as supporting other key areas. As part of the content development team, you’ll play a key role in the design, development and creation of all educational products, developing high-quality learning and development pathways to empower our volunteers across a range of roles and cycling disciplines.What are we looking for?Experience in developing innovative approaches to learning and development, from planning to delivery
Experience of working with a range of digital tools and software to achieve a project outcome
Experience of working with a range of industry experts and professionals to achieve a project outcome
An understanding of the cycling landscape, ideally with track record in coaching cycling and/or sport
Knowledge of digital learning within education and/or sport
Experience in accreditation, evaluation and quality assurance procedures
Ability to analyse and present technical information clearly, using a range of media
Experience of/passion for creating engaging digital resources, including photo and video to bring learning to life
Ability to produce resources and support training and onboarding for the tutor workforce in the delivery of new and existing qualifications
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including SharePoint and Teams
Experience of virtual classrooms and webinar delivery
Attention to detail and ability and desire to produce work and products of an exceptionally high standard
Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and apply an enthusiastic, committed and creative approach
Degree in relevant subject, or equivalent experience in either PE / Sports Science / Coaching / Education
What will you be doing?Pathways – Advise and contribute to the creation and development of education pathways, designing engaging and inspiring learning programmes, creating qualification and assessment specifications, and delivery, assessment and administration materials.
People – develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to deliver a dynamic learner-centred education programme, including coaches, event officials, instructors, leaders and participants.
Products – Support the development, implementation, and review of British Cycling’s educational products to ensure we are creating an engaging offer. Support the development of a Continuing Professional Development programme for tutors, assessors, qualification holders, riders and qualified volunteers.
Resources – Support the creation, development and review of resources for learners and the wider workforce, including guidelines, manuals, handbooks, course materials and supporting information, including digital content. Write content for communications and social media, produce copy and co-ordinate design for publicity materials and Education web pages and online learning.
Quality – ensure product development is of the highest standard and aligns to the Education Plan and British Cycling strategy.
Productivity – demonstrably high rate of production and agility in product development, and successful project management.
Integrity and Compliance – Endeavour to ensure all work streams and projects are compliant with the organisation’s equality policy and commitment to inclusivity.
