We are seeking electrical engineering writers with a particular interest in printed circuit board design and manufacturing who are also well-rounded researchers with impeccable writing skills. These writers are able to turn complex subject matters into thought leadership articles for the electrical engineering and manufacturing community that also appeal to the general public. They put in the effort to understand the needs of their audience to produce branded solutions based on our client’s requirements. The writers are self-motivated, deadline-driven team players who maintain high standards with a passion for writing.
This is a freelance role, but has the potential to become a full-time position, if that is beneficial to both parties.
Pay & Benefits:
Our freelance writing opportunities are compensated at $250 per content deliverable. Freelance writers are also compensated for any optional meetings they’re invited to, including strategy brainstorming discussions, client Q+A meetings and team meetings at $25/hour. Requirements:
Ideal candidates are industry professionals in electronic systems development and seasoned writers with practical experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Integrated Circuit design
- Circuit Simulation
- Schematic capture
- PCB layout
- Design analysis
- PCB fabrication
- PCB assembly
- PCB testing
Qualifications:
- Technical writing experience, including data sheets, reports, or white papers, with a proven track record of independent research and content development.
- Electronic technician or Engineering degree and/or experience, ideally in electrical engineering, computer science, or mechanical engineering.
- Industry experience in circuit board design, schematic capture, PCB layout, testing, or manufacturing.
- Punctuality, professionalism, and excellent time management skills.
- A reliable internet connection and computer.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong background in electronic theory and practical application
- Remote experience
- Familiarity with industry tools used in the design of ICs, schematics, and printed circuit boards
Duties:
- Write well-researched, engaging, and insightful articles for web publication
- Work collaboratively with your editor(s) to ensure every deliverable meets our high editorial standard and is perfected ahead of its due date
- When needed, interview subject matter experts from our clients’ teams or our own to gain the information and insights needed for your content

Our process:
We respond to qualified applicants with a brief email questionnaire. Strong candidates at this stage will be invited to a video interview. After interviewing, the top candidates will be invited to complete a paid writing sample.
Candidates who successfully complete the paid writing sample and its revision will be invited to a video conference interview with several members of our team.
