Your role:

Leading a small team of Engineers, you will be responsible for the electronic related hardware for new and existing product developments, leading the creation of design specifications, schematics, PCBA layouts, drawings, prototypes, design for manufacture and test (DFM / DFT), production documentation (including Bills of Materials (BOMS) and target Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), supporting third-party manufacturers, suppliers and production.

Working to the ISO13485 / FDA 21 CFR Part 820 quality system, you will implement best-practice for design control and to keep up to date and revise Quality Procedures to communicate and deliver projects.

According to the V-Model for system development you will devise & implement electronic design test plans including both the coordination of testing to accredited standards and user-defined testing both on-site and at UKAS test houses. This will extend to the preparation of test reports and support documentation for approval.

Working in close collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering Technical Manager, Project Manager and suppliers to develop RDT’s products through prototypes and pre-production units to design outcome into internal and subcontractor production.

You’re the right fit for this role if:

You career has been in Electrical Engineering (both sustaining and new products), and you currently lead a team or would like to progress into a leadership role.

You have worked in the Medical Device industry or a similar regulated environment (Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Aviation, Defense etc).

You are familiar with PCBA Design, manufacture and test, particularly signal processing, electro-magnetic capability and electrical safety.

Educated to degree level or similar in Electrical Engineering.
