About The Role

We seek a dynamic Commerical Controller to business partner Hansen’s EMEA commercial organisation to drive profitable growth and lead the EMEA commercial finance team to deliver strong financial control, reporting and analytics.
This role is ideal for an experienced finance executive who has significant experience managing accounting, tax and reporting but with a passion for commercial initiatives that drive significant value to the business.
This role works closely with the EMEA Finance Director, driving the broader finance strategy across a growing and diverse region.
Key Responsibilities
- Business partner the EMEA commercial organisation to drive revenue and margin growth
- Review commercial bids and customer contracts, bring constructive challenge and financial insight to optimise bids
- Develop financial and non-financial analysis, which brings insight to the commercial teams, and use it to identify opportunities which enhance revenue, margin and cash
- Monitor the strategic alignment of commercial growth opportunities and product R&D investment
- Lead the EMEA revenue budgeting process, partnering the commercial teams to deliver stretching but achievable targets
- Support the EMEA leadership team to drive their risk governance programme
- Lead, develop and inspire the EMEA revenue finance team – a full-service team managing billing, accounting, reporting, revenue & cash forecasting, performance analysis, partnering – and the EMEA reporting analyst
- Operate as EMEA subject matter expert on IFRS15 – it’s impact on commercial scenarios, and robust audit compliance
- Drive continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility: financial controls, process efficiency, reporting & analysis, customer bids, commercial support
- Integrate acquired businesses into the Hansen ways of working
- Support the EMEA transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 finance system
- Support the EMEA Finance Director with a broad range of initiatives and responsibilities across the region
- Develop strong and collaborative relationships with business leaders, the wider EMEA finance team and the Group finance team (based in Australia)
About You
- Qualified accountant with broad post-qualification experience
- Track record of applying strong accounting knowledge (particularly IFRS15) to commercial decisions
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Strong commercial acumen and credible business partner
- Highly analytical – able to synthesise data to identify business drivers and actions
- Instinctive attention to detail – to ensure it aligns and delivers the big picture
- Track record of international team leadership and development
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage
