THE ROLE: Managing Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Actively pursue the full sales cycle from lead to close; responsible for generating proposals and drawing high end revenue into the business through consulting in the energy sector, including promoting sales of subscriptions and reports. Ongoing relationship management with senior managers and executives within the energy, refining, and chemical industries.

This role will require strong expertise and reputation advising clients on market and pricing behaviour of refined products and emerging sustainable fuels.

  • Reporting to the EMEA energy sector lead and Global head of the energy sector, supporting energy sector sales generation, primarily in the EMEA geographic region, as well as wider consulting activities.
  • Work closely with senior industry managers, executives and key decision-makers to build strong, ongoing client relationships.
  • Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities to grow existing accounts and new business.
  • Develop and convert proposals for operating companies, banks, private equity firms, licensing companies, etc. for performing feasibility studies, due diligence engagements, supply/demand/trade analyses, technology assessments and other related projects.
  • Undertake the project management role and lead teams of junior and mid-level consultants for projects of all sizes so as to deliver quality results to our clients on a timely and profitable fashion.
  • Work with NexantECA’s senior management team to shape and grow NexantECA’s presence and revenue generation in the region and globally.

Skills and Experience:

  • Significant experience within the energy industry or with a top industry consultancy
  • Strong understanding of market drivers affecting profitability and growth opportunities in the energy sector.
  • Solid appreciation of technological aspects of the energy sector including emerging sustainable routes to fuels.
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Very strong project management skills
  • Experience of interacting with senior industry executives
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to generate consulting revenue
