We have several exciting positions available right now, including an EPL (Engineering Program Lead) in our Havant facility, WASP, providing aircraft interiors with high-end passenger products such as custom lighting and luxury switches and passenger controls.

The successful candidate can expect to:

  • Coordinate new product development projects in engineering.
  • Facilitate cross departmental support of projects.
  • Monitor and advise on progress and performance of projects.
  • Key onsite POC (point of contact) for customer enquiries relating to project progress.
  • Schedule engineering and documentation deliverables to meet program plan.
  • Provide administrative and organisational support for engineers and Program management.
  • This is a new and flexible role with ever changing priority and duties which need to be accommodated so demands the ability to be able to deal with change of priorities or work type.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation and control of the engineering development plan for key project milestones.
  • Conduct internal meetings to introduce awarded business to engineering and other departments, drive the gated process through development.
  • Pull information and decisions from customers to facilitate agreed design schedules.
  • Liaise with customer on key milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate supporting activities for engineering development, such as aligning the documentation and qualification schedule, NPI assembly schedule and handing over production schedule information.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to the sales contract and advise on scope creep.
  • Advise stakeholders on product/project status throughout product lifecycles.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to illustrate project progress and status, including agreed KPIs.
  • Attend key project milestones where necessary, potentially at customer sites (may include international travel).
  • Assist program manager in the improvement of project control and reporting.
  • Facilitate the record keeping of customer specifications and drive V&V to program requirements.

  • Organised and analytical
  • The ability to coordinate cross-functional teams of people.
  • Good at chairing busy meetings and holding to a productive agenda.
  • Proven high proficiency on MS Excel and general proficiency in MS office, MS project desirable.
  • Dashboard creation and clear reporting skills.
  • A high aptitude for problem solving, particularly where negotiations in priorities are concerned.
  • Approachable and professional, experience in B2B relationships.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision and interact with staff members at all levels within the business.
  • Experience in a process driven environment, working to recognised standards or regulations.
  • Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree / HNC / HND in a suitable engineering subject.
  • Design experience of products and assemblies.

Desirable Criteria:

  • An understanding of aircraft manufacturers’ qualification standards and related standards, e.g., D6-36440, RTCA/DO-160, ABD0100.1.2, etc
