DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Skylla Engineering is seeking a highly motivated, self driven, team player for an Engineering Technician II (ETII) position for the Modern Vehicle Fielding (MVF) Integration and Fielding Support Integrated Product Team (IPT). The ETII will provide integration support for Repair and Replace (R&R) or retrofitting of C4ISR components on multiple tactical vehicle platforms to include the JLTV and MRAP. The duties include but are not limited to:
– Perform Limited Technical Inspection (LTI) on incoming vehicles to identify any vehicle discrepancies/issues.
– Using an In Process Inspection (IPI) checklist, perform pre-system test verifications, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) testing, system verifications, final verifications, and closeout inspections.
– Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform installation, assembly checkout and troubleshooting functions.
– Perform equipment assembly and installation using various types of hardware and hand tools.
– Complete an Over-Pack Bill of Materials (OPBOM) listing upon completion of the integration.
– Must be able to safely and properly use hand tools.
– Must be able to read assembly drawings / diagrams.
– Must have knowledge of cable routing and dressing.
– Must have a basic knowledge of electrical component installation.
– Must be able to take direction and implement the instruction given to them

Required Skills
Education: Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED.
Required Experience
Experience: Two (2) with degree/formal training or four (4) years with HS/GED of practical experience to include performing one or a combination of the following duties: following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment; conducting a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors; extracting engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources, processing the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry, and presenting the data in prescribed form. Individual shall be capable of performing standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations, follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments. Technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non-routine work may be reviewed in progress.
