The Role – Evening Cleaning Supervisor x 20 hours
AM Services Group is looking for an experienced, hardworking, and enthusiastic Cleaner to assist with the cleanliness and upkeep of a large Engineering company building, its offices, and meeting rooms based in the Elland
This is a Permanent Part time role 20hr per week, the suitable person would be available to work Monday to Thursday from 4pm – 8pm Friday 1pm – 5pm
Duties/Key Responsibilities
- As a Working Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning activities of a team of cleaners across the site
- Adhere to all in-house Health and Safety Environmental policies and procedures.
- To build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
- Managing the core functions of the Contract Cleaning ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and that the cleaning team works efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure that equipment is used safely and maintained to the required standard by the Cleaning Team’s and that it is repaired appropriately as and when required
- Flexibility to ensure that formal rectification or ad-hoc cleaning issues are picked up and can be responded to and managed in a timely manner in line with the contract specification
- Supporting the Operations Manager with the people management of on-site employees, ensuring an accurate, effective, and consistent approach to people management in areas such as sickness and attendance, holiday management performance, and conduct standards and rotas, ensuring company policies, procedures and processes are adhered to at all times.
Skills Required
- Experience of leading and motivating a team
- Take appropriate and decisive managerial action after considering a range of options
- You will need to evidence your honesty and reliability and always maintain a sense of pride in your professionalism in delivering excellent customer service.
- IT literate as will be dealing with emails and staff rotas and general administration.
- Key Holder experience
- Good timekeeping and attendance are both essential.
- Remain calm, objective and in control in stressful situations
- Respond positively to and learn from change, be receptive to new ideas
