Salary: £25,000 – £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Type: Permanent

To be successful in this role you should be highly driven, flexible and be capable of working in a team or independently where required. Ultimately, you should be creative and technically minded, with a strong working knowledge of industry-standard software and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Create high quality and accurate technical 2D drawings independently, including RCP’s, sections, and elevations.

• Frequently liaise with the lead designer and Design team for regular progression updates.

• Carry out measured surveys independently and assist others when required.

• Support the newer/junior CAD Designers in the team, once trained.

• Ensure that all drawing issue sheets are kept up-to-date at all times.

• Take the necessary actions to ensure that the design elements of the project are coordinated sufficiently with other relevant trades.

• Balance your own workload and support for others effectively to ensure deadlines are met.

• Be forthcoming with ideas and communicate them effectively.

Requirements

• Proficient CAD (AutoCAD) user is essential with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional practice.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience taking measured surveys.

• Strong team player and influencer.

• Able to read and evaluate architect’s drawings and identify problems and present potential solutions.

• Competent MS Office skills essential.

• Able to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Active trouble shooting.
