Are you an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding opportunity? NonStop Consulting is working with a fantastic school based in South West London that is rated as ‘outstanding’ by Offsted! We are searching for a skilled professional to join our dynamic team in supporting 16 to 19-year-old students with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
In this role you will have ongoing professional development, you will access continuous training and workshops, positioning you at the forefront of occupational therapy expertise, and in this way you will enhance student interventions with the latest approaches, ensuring a lasting impact on their development.
You will have a supportive team collaboration and be able to thrive in a collaborative environment alongside Teachers, Therapists, and Specialists, fostering success in your role. On top of this, you will experience a nurturing workplace, contributing to job satisfaction and positively impacting the lives of students through effective teamwork.
About the Role:
As a Post-16 Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing a tailored Occupational Therapy service that focuses on functional skills, independence, and emotional regulation. Working with a caseload of students, you will deliver therapy in small groups and on an individual basis, utilizing your professional judgement to enhance their overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement bespoke intervention packages based on your professional judgement.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Teachers, Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Drama Therapists, Music Therapists, and Art Therapists.
- Represent the department at meetings, clinical supervision, and reports.
- Arrange and deliver training to enhance the skills of the team.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Market Rate Salary (Band 6-7), £35,000 – £46,000 based on experience.
- Full-Time, Permanent position with 9 weeks holiday + bank holidays.

Ideal Candidate:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Minimum of 4 years experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Confidence, enthusiasm, and a passion for learning.
- Experience working with young people with Special Education Needs (SEN), preferably on the Autism Spectrum.
- Excellent English skills (written and spoken) with good reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, and carers.
- Capacity to manage small groups of young people with complex social communication needs.
- Essential skills to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment.
