Due to internal promotions we have a need our Field Team. The successful candidates will be customer focused, experienced as a Field IT Support Technician, and have previous 2nd Line IT support experience on client sites. You will join our Service Delivery Team based out of the Milton Keynes office.

The successful Field IT Support Technician will ideally come from the background of an IT Managed Service Provider supporting multiple client sites or you will have previously supported multiple IT infrastructures with various technical challenges. You will be motivated, a natural problem solver and able to follow the process of using a ticketing system. The successful candidate will ensure that our customers receive an excellent and consistent service experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the client facing representative for all technical service requests on client sites (most client sites are within a 50-mile radius of the Milton keynes office, this includes London)
  • Logging and maintaining support issues detail throughout a service ticket lifecycle (using ConnectWise Manage)
  • Responding appropriately to more complex problems through escalation.
  • Prioritisation and management of workload to ensure client SLAs are met.
  • Owning, managing, and resolving incidents, completing requests and change requests in line with our SLA’s.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement both technically and in processes for clients and internally.

Skills / Attributes Required

  • Minimum of 2 years experience supporting SME’s or multi client sites in a similar client facing role.
  • Clear and confident communicator at all levels and abilities
  • Able to deliver and troubleshoot complex technical solutions
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills

Desirable Technical Knowledge

  • VMware
  • Azure
  • Networking (Switch management, Wi-Fi Access point management, router configuration)
  • Firewall configuration

  • SharePoint

Desirable Qualifications / Certifications

  • MCSA
  • ITIL foundation
  • MCITP: Server Administrator or MCSE: Windows Server
  • CCNA

Package Details

  • Salary is up to £35k pa, dependant on experience and accreditations
  • Use of Company car / van (you must have a full clean UK driving licence)
  • 24 Days Holiday Increasing with 2 & 3 years service plus 1 day off for your birthday each year
  • The hours of work are 37.5 per week.
  • Based out of our Milton Keynes Office with client visits within a 50-mile radius of the Milton Keynes office plus London travel (travel expenses are paid monthly and train travel is purchased by Aztech IT ahead of any pending travel to client sites)
