Job description: Field Service Engineer:
As a Field Service Engineer in Electrical Installation & Maintenance/Servicing of Machinery, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support, electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance services to valued clients in the field.Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and servicing of machinery and equipment at customer sites.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve electrical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to customers on electrical systems, machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and service teams to develop and optimise service documentation, including manuals, guides, and training materials.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships with clients by effectively communicating technical information and addressing their concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, electrical codes, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Document service activities, including service reports, parts usage, and customer interactions, in a clear and timely manner.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on product performance, service procedures, and customer needs.
  • Travel to customer sites as required, both locally and nationally.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer specialising in Electrical Installation & Maintenance/Servicing of Machinery.
  • Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in machinery and equipment.
  • Proficiency in working with electrical systems, wiring, controls, and industrial machinery.
  • Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and work effectively in a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to various situations.
  • Flexibility to travel and work outside regular business hours when necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles and equipment safely.
  • Degree or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Expected salary: £30000 – 36000 per year
