About the role:
Join the dynamic and rapidly expanding Ocado Logistics division within the Ocado Group as a high-profile Finance Analyst. This pivotal role involves supporting one of our external retailers, encompassing Financial Planning, Data Analysis, Capex Project Accounting, and strategic Business Partnering with the retailer’s finance team.
You will:
- Act as a key point of contact between the Accounting team and the retailer during the annual budget and forecast process.
- Prepare financial information for the retailer, including submissions, journals, cost allocations, and management information.
- Act as Business Partner with the retailer’s finance team, providing clear and insightful commentary on performance metrics.
- Develop financial models and conduct analysis to drive operational and commercial decision-making.
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating with Accounting to deliver strong business results.
- Support and review capital spend approval requests, ensuring robust controls and processes.
- Apply financial standards, compliance processes, and controls to business areas.
- Identify and implement improvements to business processes and financial controls, increasing efficiency and ensuring accurate cost recording.
- Support the delivery of business change initiatives.
About you:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Qualified CIMA / ACA / ACCA accountant.
- Minimum 2:2 degree and a strong academic record.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to the changing nature of Ocado in a timely manner.
Not Essential but Advantageous:
- Experience in reporting period management accounts, analysis, and commentary.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience in strong business partnering within a matrix structure.
- Experience in business partnering with external customers/stakeholders.
- System skills, including mainstream accounting packages (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion).

- Effective communication with diverse stakeholders (verbal, non-verbal, and written).
