Job description: Finance Assistant/ Immediate Start/ Weekly Paid Role/ Ongoing Assignment Free On Site Parking/ 30 Hours Per WeekMy multi-site client require the support of a Finance Assistant to fulfil an interim assignment. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team to support the Finance Manager with all transactional processes. You will be working in excellent conditions in an interesting business sector where no two days are the same.This will be a 30 hour a week post (office based) for a minimum period of 6 weeks to manage a backlog of work (potential to extend) Previous experience in a similar capacity as a Finance Assistant is required.Finance Assistant Duties:

  • Processing of purchase ledger invoices (matching, batching, coding)
  • Gaining approval for invoices to be paid
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Daily reconciliations of cash and banking terminals
  • Sales invoice processing
  • Credit control and allocation of incoming payments
  • Revenue audits

Finance Assistant Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar capacity as a Finance Assistant/ Purchase Ledger Clerk
  • The ability to start work on an immediate basis ad commit to 30 hours P/W for a minimum 6-week period.
  • The ability to commute to and work from Blackburn Mon – Fri.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment to complete a varied workload.
  • A positive and proactive approach to tasks and duties
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hospitality/ Hotel sector accounting experience is highly advantageous.
  • Strong computerised systems and excel skills.
