£60,000 to £65,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)

We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team supporting membership and marketing. We’ll look to you to provide insight into business drivers, using influence and challenge along with recommendations to optimise financial performance. You’ll build strong relationships with internal partners, focusing on Co-op membership and ultimately being future focused on how we can make a difference for our colleagues and customers.

What you’ll do

  • Be the key business partner for all membership and marketing activity, focusing on making the right investments to drive customer loyalty and business performance
  • Make recommendations to solve business problems through clarity of insight, offering a commercial and strategic perspective, considering internal or external factors
  • Provide problem solving support, with a focus on the control and delivery of agreed outcomes
  • Support longer term scenario planning and resolution of business problems
  • Manage a team of 2 analysts, whilst developing and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • Use commercial reviews to hold business areas accountable for financial performance, working closely with them to co-create financial improvement plans
  • Support financial control with insight, analysis, and in-depth knowledge of business areas

This role would suit people who have

  • A recognised finance qualification
  • Business partner experience
  • The ability to build strong relationships with internal partners at all levels
  • Experience in supporting or making commercial judgements and improving performance
  • The ability to talk big picture and go into fine detail
