Job description: We seek a dedicated Finance Data Analyst to join our clients industrious accountancy team in Birkenhead. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, analytical skills, and a passion for crunching numbers. This will involve looking after the quality, delivery and visibility of the data through ownership of system alignment, reporting architecture and profile management.
- Analyse financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
- Working within systems accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Collaborate with external data engineers to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Identify financial status by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools

A successful Finance Data Analyst should have:
- Proven experience as a Financial Data Analyst
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications, ideally Power BI/SQL
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
