Job description: Main responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the hiring, development, motivation, and management of the team, ensuring the overall processing of invoices and payments are carried out accurately.
  • Preparation of the department objective plan, timetables and objectives.
  • Compilation and execution of the weekly payment runs as well as work closely with Financial Reporting with cash flow forecast.
  • Reconciliation of the monthly balance sheet accounts for creditors, debtors and all various bank accounts.
  • Ensure that the quarterly rent payments are processed and paid.
  • Liaise with management accounts ensuring all invoices by AP have been correctly coded and processed along with monthly accruals.
  • Ensuring monthly supplier reconciliations are completed and queries dealt with to eliminate risk of outstanding liabilities.
  • Running monthly, quarterly and annual reports along with relevant KPIs.
  • Ensuring the purchase ledger is in line with month end timetable deadlines.
  • Posting variance journals and financial statements, i.e. prepayments, accruals etc.
  • Analysing and commentary on variances against budget and forecast.
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet.
  • Budgets, forecasts and monitoring of transactional processing costs.
  • Management and communication of multiple locations weekly cash deposits and management of cash flow across UK & Ireland division.

Skills/experience required:

  • Qualified through ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Significant experience from a cash heavy industry such as hospitality, leisure etc.
  • Proven Management skills of a robust AP/AR/Treasury team.
  • Treasure experience as well as AP/AR.
