Job description: Harper May is collaborating with a distinguished Business Consultancy. Our client is in search of a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting management accounting functions and driving the overall financial success of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Compile financial data, analyse variances, and prepare reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide insightful analysis.
• Identify and report on key budget variances.
• Support in analysing costs and expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in maintaining cost control procedures and contribute to cost efficiency initiatives.
• Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights for cost management.

Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

Expected salary: £50000 per year
