Job description: Fast growing technology business in Lancashire who are looking to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager to work closely with the Had of Finance. The role will be taking a lead on the external audit process and help with the management of a small finance team.
- Consolidate and report the monthly management accounts, working with finance teams to ensure a complete and accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow.
- Manage a small team to produce the monthly management accounts, managing balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow and overhead accounting.
- Manage the month end group submission and reconciliations via Cognos.
- Partner business leaders in understanding and controlling their cost centres.
- Support with the businesses consolidated forecast and budget process.
- Work with department heads to report cash performance against a rolling cash forecast.
- Develop and improve meaningful financial modelling and analysis, particularly focusing on cash management.
- Support Finance Director in the production of monthly Board packs.
- Lead annual external audit process and statutory accounts production.
- Take ownership for all statutory requirements.
- Ensure that financial controls and processes are in place & maintained.
- Develop and maintain relationships with members of the Finance team across the group
- Work with group functions to manage tax and treasury requirements when necessary.

The candidate will be coming from an audit background or having come from a financial reporting role within industry.
