Job description: Gleeson Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with this forward thinking, well-known business in Warwick, who are recognised for their excellent and progressive working culture, to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager.

As the Financial Accounting Manager, you will play a key part within the finance division. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring all statutory reporting requirements are delivered for all UK based companies and all tax and other returns are completed. You will also oversee the UK Finance team, assisting the financial controller to ensure the smooth running of the accounting function, getting involved in internal projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of year end packs, statutory accounts preparation and year end audit.
  • Responsible for ensuring all UK tax returns and VAT are completed.
  • Weekly cashflow – assisting with cash management and working capital management.
  • Management of the transacational team of 3.
  • Capital expenditure tracking and forecasting including maintenance of the fixed asset module.
  • Working across boundaries, showing flexibility to ensure all financial accounting responsibilities are delivered, including supporting colleagues in other finance areas.
  • Identifying, agreeing and delivering improvement projects to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the financial accounting function.
  • Preparation of the statutory reporting disclosures and liaison with external auditors.

The requirements:

  • You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Good technical knowledge with experience in financial accounting and reporting.
  • This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in group production and /or audit of statutory accounts.
  • Proactive, driven, resilient and able to work under your own initiative.
  • A highly organised, diligent person with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A confident communicator who can develop relationships across all business functions.
