Job description: Job Description:CLOSING DATE 14 APRIL 2024This is a great opportunity to join FP&A side of our Finance Team as a Financial Analyst. The role was newly created to perform month-end and day to day tasks to run one of the NOV UK Ledgers, and enable timely and accurate reporting on Customer projects. You will be based in our office in Portlethen and will be reporting to the FP&A Manager.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial
- Perform month-end and day to day tasks to run one of the NOV UK Ledgers and enable timely and accurate reporting on Customer projects.
- Maintain Revenue and Invoicing True Up Models and ensure those are up to date;
- Run Global WIP reports and record revenue accruals;
- Collate monthly submissions from the Regions and calculate Revenue True up;
- Ensure margin information is kept updated at all times;
- Calculate Regional revenue True up and raise Intercompany invoices (IDCMs) at the end of each month;
Accounting
- Post month-end True up journals and revenue accruals;
- Record revenue IDCMs related entries against each Region;
- Receive and book IDCMs for any recharges from the Regions;
- Review and Balance Intercompany position with other counterparts
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Accountancy or Finance (essential)
- Holding or working towards Professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA / ACCA (desirable)
EXPERIENCE
- Working knowledge within a financial / accounting environment (essential)
- Experience working with ERP systems (essential)
- Experience of PoC accounting methods (desirable)
- Experienced business partner working with non-financial management (desirable)
SKILLS
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Financial Analysis and Financial reporting
- Knowledge of SOX reporting
