Grafton Banks Finance is looking for a competent and experienced Financial Controller to join a growing business, part of a plc, in Redhill with a £20m turnover, offering a friendly and cohesive culture. This role is a permanent part-time (4 days per week) Financial Controller, reporting to the Finance Director and requires an enthusiastic individual to take responsibility for a small finance team.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the preparation of monthly reporting to the Group
- Key role in ensuring compliance with legislative and statutory requirements
- Act as point of contact for external audit team
- Responsible for weekly cash flow reporting
- Calculating/posting monthly journals such as deferred/accrued income and stock
- Forward buys of foreign currency ($ and Euro)
- Overseeing the assistant accountant.
The successful candidate will be:
- A practice trained Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) with experience as finance manager or financial accountant in industry
- Looking for a part-time role – 4 days per week (3 days per week is not currently being considered)
- Able to demonstrate strong core technical accounting knowledge – UK GAAP legislation and statutory requirements
- Able to commute to Redhill offices for 3 days per week (possibly 2), with 1 day WFH.
In return for your knowledge and experience you will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary up to £68,750 (which will be pro rata’d for 4 days work) plus bonus and benefits package.
Expected salary: £60000 – 68750 per year
