We have an exciting opportunity in Accommodation Services (AS) for someone with a passion for leadership and development looking to use their management skills to make an impact on the development of AS.

You will join the AS team in our large and diverse Professional Services department of Accommodation and Commercial Services (ACS). AS is responsible for over 6,000 bed spaces and associated services across a diverse portfolio of properties, buildings and locations and in partnership with a number of collaborators.  

Responsibilities range from initial contacts at open days through much of the student experience, in an area that plays a vital role in allowing students to come to University, live and study successfully.

You will be responsible for the 24-hour operation of the FM Services, which consists of 4 Duty Leaders who support both the FM Assistants team of 8 rotating shift staff and 2 alternating weekday staff, who provide maintenance, site detailing, transport and set-up services.  Together with the Residences cleaning team of 4 supervisors and more than 40 Domestic Assistants operating over 3 sites in a variety of residential properties and public buildings.

There is also a busy 10-week summer period, where staffing increases due to business needs which is supplemented with casual staff.

We are seeking candidates with a good honours degree, or proven facilities management experience, with particular experience in delivering cleaning services and a broad range of FM services which includes building and grounds maintenance and contractor management.
