A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER AT CROWNE PLAZA DOCKLANDS

What you’ll be doing…

Reporting to the Operations Manager, as Food and Beverage Manager you will be responsible for the food and beverage operation, overseeing the restaurant, bar and conference and banqueting departments. You will lead, motivate, and inspire your team in meeting and exceed guest expectations. This is a hands-on management role, leading from the front. We are looking for candidates with strong all-around skills in and knowledge of quality food and beverage operations. You must be able to drive revenues and manage budgets effectively. The successfully recruited Food and Beverage Manager will have had previous experience within the same capacity role. Able to run weddings and events and all aspects of the food service. Have the proven ability to manage all aspects of profitability and margin control.

As Food and Beverage Manager you must be self-motivated and be an inspirational leader, who believes in delivering the best possible standards in guest service, continually leading your team by example. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to handle guest complaints and providing departmental performance.

Your key areas responsibility will include:

  • Lead and manage the Food and Beverage team
  • Monitoring and maintenance of required KPI’s, including beverage gross profit margins and staff cost.
  • Manage and demonstrate high-quality guest care within the team to meet the service requirements of the hotel.
  • Lead and create a team environment which promotes good employee morale and ensures a high level of commitment and pride in the hotel.

Has an excellent customer focus, organisation and methodical approach is paramount with this role in order for the team and hotel to be successful. Experience within a similar environment is preferable.
