JOB SUMMARY

If you enjoy delighting guests and going the extra mile to wow them, this is your opportunity! To effectively supervise and support the Conference and Banqueting Department’s Associates, to maintain a highly motivated team, high standards of service and maximize revenue. Assist management with delivery of service ideas, directions from management or senior management, follow sequence of service and bringing up ideas and feedback. You will serve as a role model to the team. You would be involved in all aspects of running an event from a people & process point of view. No two days are the same and that’s the best part of being in this varied role! If you enjoy thinking on your feet, the hustle & bustle of a thriving Banquet operation and the opportunity to connect with people then this is the role for you!

Ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that guest needs are met. Inspect grooming and attire of staff and rectify any deficiencies. Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. Inspect storage areas for organization, use of FIFO, and cleanliness. Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies. Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests. Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • 2 Years related work experience in a Food and Beverage environment
  • 5 star hotel experience preferred
  • 1 year Supervisory experience
  • Good Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Ability to articulate well to our guests and team members
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Pro-active and reliable
  • Creativity & flair
  • People oriented
