No history background? No problem. What is important to us is a passion for people and excellent customer service. We are the organisation that looks after England’s most important buildings and monuments, making sure our country’s amazing history is available for everyone to enjoy. From world-famous prehistoric sites to grand medieval castles, Roman forts to a Cold War bunker, we bring the history of England to life.
This is an annualized permanent part-time role working an average of 21.6 hours per week
As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will work predominantly back of house to prepare food, compile food orders and maintain a hygienic work environment conforming to FSA requirements. You will be preparing food using the best available regional and local produce, at Walmer Castle making sure all our visitors have a fantastic experience. You may be occasionally required to prepare and serve a range of quality refreshments, working as part of a team to support the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlets. You will create a warm and welcoming environment for our visitors, ensure great quality in everything we serve and help us tell more of English Heritage’s story through its food and unique settings!
Your duties may vary depending on the day, but you can expect to be:
– Preparing and presenting food and drink orders
– Delivering great food preparation in our kitchen
– Providing exceptional customer service
– Ensuring a perfect standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout
– Providing support during our events
