Job description: Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are working with a prestigious Food Production company based in the Eastwood area to recruit a number of Food Production Operatives. The role will begin on an as and when basis and then turn into a temporary ongoing/temporary to permanent position for the right candidate. This role will involve working in a warm and fast paced production environment or a cooler despatch area where you will be required to complete visual checks of the product as well as manual handling duties.

This client is a well known food manufacturer that sends a wide range of fresh products to over 18,500 stores daily. This company was set up and is still operating as a family run business despite its huge expansion from when it was set up nearly 150 years ago!

The job:
- Working on different departments within the factory: packing, product checking and getting the items ready to be sent out for delivery.
- Working in a fast paced production environment
- Will require you to complete some computer work so must be computer literate (specific computer programme training will be provided on the job)
What we need from you:
- Live locally to Eastwood or have your own transport as public transport is not available for all shift timings
- Be available to work day and night shifts as shifts are 05.00-17.00/16.00-04.00 including weekends as the client is a 24 hours a day 7 days a week operation
- Be physically fit as you will be working in a warm production environment whilst completing duties and you will be on your feet for the whole shift
