Shifts Mon to Thurs 18.00hrs to 0600 hrs
Our client is a well-established family-owned business who are leading producers of food condiments and are a great place to work. They are totally people centric and listen to their force as they live and breathe quality and culture throughout the business.
They are looking to add talented individuals to their quality team and so are recruiting an experienced food quality assurance technician with a HND / Degree or equivalent in Food Quality
With a min of 2 years food industry experience and a HACCP L2 as well and auditing experience.
ISO 9001 quality experience and experience within electronics is highly desirable
The Role
The purpose of the role is to consistency of product, continual improvement and the delivery of the highest quality and best practice of food production standards throughout the business.
You will be responsible for carrying out internal calibration, liaising with engineers to ensure the accuracy of the calibration, assisting with complaints investigation, carrying out internal audits, collating and verifying paperwork. Sample collation for testing for product, environment and allergens.
Assisting with processes and validations, logging results and trends with results and managing and chasing corrective actions, GMP inspections, supporting line leaders and verifying process control checks, scheduling raw material sampling, and running taste panels.
The Person
You will have a min of 2 years’ experience in food production, in quality control, you will be a great team player and be an expert in building great relationships with people at all levels.
You will be making decision on the factory floor regarding conformance and specification of products, coaching operational staff and promoting safe practices always.
Influencing bevahiours and culture and clearly communicating with staff in a positive and confident manner.
You will be an excellent problem solver and be able to identify and highlight issues from root cause and report these to management so that preventative measures can be taken to stop reoccurrence.
Be able to challenge where and when required to create change and promote a culture of best practice always.
