Job description: Great opportunity to join an established food business. There is the possibility that this role could go permanent for the right individual.
My client is an established food business with 50 years of success. They supply over 300 product lines in to the catering, foodservice, manufacturing, and retail sectors. They deal with suppliers in over 25 countries worldwide.
They need an experienced Quality Manager / Technical Manager to join the business on a 12-month fixed term contract to start no later than the 12th February to ensure there is a two week handover.
There is the possibility, for the right person, for this role to go permanent.
Supporting the Head of Technical you will be responsible for the broad overall technical operations and customer technical focus for the company.
Main areas of responsibility
- Internal quality management
- External customer management; point of contact and action for all customer requests
- Creating new stock codes for products and ensuring accurate / appropriate descriptions
- Customer online systems
- In conjunction with internal quality management, maintain systems for BRC compliance
- Major complaints own major issues from the outset
- Creating new barcodes for product labels
- Sending specs
- Sending copies of labels
- Sending BRC certificates / reports
- Arranging samples
This role would be ideal for someone who has worked as a Product Technical Manager, Retail Product Technologist, or Foodservice Food Safety Manager.
