Job description: Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a Food Technology Teacher to join our partner school following the Easter break, 2024.

If you are a newly qualified teacher passionate about Food Technology and seeking your first teaching opportunity, we are here to guide you. We collaborate with numerous primary, secondary, and special needs schools to assist ECTs in securing positions each year.

Job Details:

  • This is a full-time position starting following the Easter 2024 break.
  • As a Food Technology teacher, you will instruct secondary school students, ages 11-16 (Key Stages 3 and 4).
  • Responsibilities include curriculum planning, preparation of engaging lessons, and the necessary assessment and grading.
  • You will align with and promote the school’s curriculum, working toward the highest standards of student achievement.
  • Initial compensation ranges from £120 to £238.59 per day for the initial 12 weeks of the role (after 12 weeks: AWR rate, paid in accordance with the school’s direct pay scale).

Requirements for the role:

  • Essential qualifications include Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Food Technology up to GCSE level.
  • A willingness to lead intervention groups and booster sessions to support student progress.
  • Demonstrated excellent subject knowledge and a strong commitment to delivering top-tier education to students.
  • If you don’t already have one registered on the update service, you will be required to apply for a Child Workforce DBS.
