- Plan and deliver engaging food technology lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for students
- Utilise various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles
- Assess and provide feedback on student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development
- Stay up-to-date with developments in food technology education
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Design and Technology (DT) in a secondary school setting
- NQT accepted
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent understanding of the food technology national curriculum
- Ability to plan and deliver creative and safe food technology lessons
- Adherence to health and safety procedures at all times
- Self-motivated and professional approach to teaching
- Compliance with school policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with students, colleagues and parents
